This compact 1.2-litre Japanese car comes in two-door saloon, coupe, or three-door estate form, and is nippy and easy to park. In saloon and estate guise the 1166 c.c. four-cylinder engine delivers 73 b.h.p. (SAE.) providing a top speed of around 90 m.p.h. The automatic model is a little slower. The Coupe has a higher compression ratio and develops a massive 83 b.h.p. (SAE) and the smoothly-styled fastback has 100 m.p.h. performance. All three models have AM radios, pop-up aerials, reversing lights, electric washers and two-speed wipers as standard equipment.

The 2.6-litre Crown range comprises the top models from the famous Japanese manufacturer. There is a de Luxe Saloon, Special Saloon, all with four doors, a two-door Coupe and a five-door Estate. All are 100 m.p.h. cars, and all are extensively equipped. The Estate shares the mechanical specification of the de Luxe saloon, and has Toyoglide automatic transmission as standard. The rear seat folds flat for the accepted advantages, but the Estate also has two rearward-facing seats. The smooth six-cylinder overhead camshaft engine has an oil cooler.
