The Dawn feature a 1627cc overhead valve four cylinder aluminium engine and Zenith carburettor. It have independent front suspension by means of upper wishbones and a transverse spring. It use a Wilson pre-selector gearbox. Later a conventional four speed gearbox was fitted. Saloon body styles only are available.
Sunbeam 20 is based on the 1933 Sunbeam 16. It carry over the 16's 2193cc OHV six (rated at 19hp) and Amal carburettor. Features include an all synchromesh four speed gearbox, hydraulic brakes and semi-elliptic springs all round. Saloon and Coupé body styles are available.
The previous year's Sunbeam 20 was revised and reappeared as the Sunbeam 25. It carry over the 3317cc OHV six and Zenith carburettor. Two wheelbase lengths are available, being 130 inches and 136 inches. Body styles are saloon, Coupé and limousine.
The Dawn was the last design of the old Wolverhampton-based Sunbeam concern. Subsequent cars were all Rootes designs.
