SV-1 stands for Safety Vehicle One. The passenger compartement is strenghtened with a roll cage integrated with the chassis which is placed between two layers of polyester filled with polyurethane. There are two sprinkles that are triggered automatically by a temperature sensor in the engine compartement. The car is powered by two NSU Ro 80 wankel engines joined together, developing 300 hp at 5500 rpm.
