ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER SHADOW £10,550
Compliance is the key word on the new front suspension; compliance in the wishbone mountings to absorb small shocks and remove the harshness of radial ply tyres. New mountings for the front sub frame give still more accurate steering. This is the long wheelbase model available with or without glass division for chauffeur drive plus the matchless craftsmanship that commends the Silver Shadow to the connoisseur.
ROLLS-ROYCE CORNICHE £13,777
Under the timeless elegance of the exterior, important changes have taken place. New front suspension and new sub-frame mountings give more accurate steering and better cornering with less roll. Steering is quicker, needing fewer turns of the wheel to cope with the more agile performance. Front brakes are now ventilated discs. Car production is setting new records.
ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM VI £15,559
While other Rolls-Royce models with their unit body structures have undergone modifications to sub frames and suspension, the great Phantom VI continues with its immensely rigid cross-braced chassis. Design is conservative, with drum brakes and a rigid rear axle on half-elliptic springs but the limousine coachwork by H.J. Mulliner-Park Ward, a Rolls-Royce subsidiary, maintains standards of craftsmanship rarely encountered anywhere.
