Rolls Royce 1967

Silver Shadow
Phantom V

Great Britain

The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and the identical (except for the radiator cowling) parallel type Bentley T-Series appeared in October 1965. They have a self-supporting body, an automatic level control front and rear and four-wheel disc brakes, which are not operated by two, but even three circuits. The 6.3-litre V-8 engine and the automatic transmissionare the same as on the eariler models. Equipped with every imaginable luxury this Rolls-Royce is not as massive and huge as its predecessor, it looks more handy and elegant. The more conventional mechanics from earlier years still characterizes the Rolls-Royce Phantom V, which has been built in small numbers since 1959. Overall, the model range has been reduced because James Young no longer produces special bodies for the two prestige brands.
