Oprócz większego silnka modele 2,5 Litre charakteryzują się większym rozstawem osi. Od
25 lat firma buduje szybkobieżne samochody o dużej
indywidualności. Obecny li litrowy model "Riley 12"
utrzymuje tę tradycję. Nowy powojenny model będzie
wkrótce zapowiedziany jako 2,4 litrowy, czterocylindrowy
wóz o szybkości jazdy do 160 km/godz. napędem od
silnika, scentralizowane smarowanie podwozia i.t.d. Riley 2½-Litre RMB Saloon is a longer edition of the 1½-Litre RMA which had been introduced in September 1945. The 2½-Litre was added in October 1946. Engine and transmission are based on the pre-war Riley Sixteen, but the chassis is entirely new and features Torsionic IFS with torsion bars. The body is of composite construction and is the same as that of the 1½-Litre, with the 'fabric'-covered roof, which is padded over a fine steel mesh. Main differences between the two cars are the 2½-Litre's light blue (v. dark blue) radiator badge and greater length (wheelbase 9 ft 11 in v. 9 ft 4½ in, overall length 15 ft 6 in v. 14 ft 11 in). |
