NSU 1974

Ro 80 (2 rotor, 497,5 cm³, 115 PS; 2869 mm)

The world's first production car with Wankel rotary engine continues for 1974 with minor changes which include front inertia seat belts, head restraints, and improved seat materials. Instruments have larger, clearer numerals, and there is provision for plug-in computer diagnosis. The front-drive four-door saloon is noted for quiet, prolonged high-speed cruising, and for magnificent handling qualities. The transmission is semi-automatic with two pedals and a central gear lever. The two-rotor engine is unobtrusive and requires only low-grade petrol for its operation.
