The Brazilian furniture manufacturer Percival Lafer discovered his love for the old MG TD Mark II from 1952. Incidentally the wheelbase of the VW Brasilia is identical to that of the classic car. The plastic body was literally copied from an old original model and slightly modified in the rear to acommodate the VW engine. Price in Germany is just over 26.000 DM.
