One of the few genuine open sports cars left in production, the M.G. Midget continues unchanged for 1974. The neat two-seater with wide doors and windup windows, is powered by a twin-carburettor version of the Austin-Morris 1275 c.c. four-cylinder engine, and has a very lively performance from modest capacity. The full-width bonnet lifts up and forward to provide easy access to the engine for tuning and maintenance, and the PVC hood can be erected in a few minutes. There is a small luggage boot, and space for extra baggage behind the seats.

An exciting new 124 m.p.h. coupé from the home of 'Safety Fast' which uses the Rover 3500 V8 engine for exhilarating performance. Using the familiar MGB 2+2 coupé bodywork and many of the suspension components, the V8 comes with overdrive as standard. Besides being very fast and highly accelerative, MG's first eight-cylinder model has limousine flexibility and quiet running. The rear window lifts up and the rear seat folds down to accept a great deal of baggage, and the 137 (DIN) b.h.p. engine runs happily on the less-expensive three-star petrol.
