1100 - new model

MG Midget. Revival of a famous marque name announced in the early summer. An alternative to the Austin-Healey Sprite, it shares the same body shell and mechanical specifications but is distinguishable by its radiator grille of vertical slats and MG badges. Price £689.
MG MGA 1600 Mk II. Superseded the Mk I in the summer and changes includes a larger engine-1622 cc, modified radiator grille of slats recessed between a sloping frame and a central bar, revised rear lamp clusters, Mk II motifs and leather cloth facia covering. Sports, roadster and fixed head Coupé versions available.
MG Magnette Mk IV was also introduced in the summer, This Farina saloon differs from the Mk III version by having a larger engine1622 cc, developing 68 bhp at 5000 rpm, an anti-roll bar on the front suspension and stabilizer bar at the rear, modified exhaust system, and automatic transmission available as an option.

The 1100 was announced in the autumn.
