At the Paris Motor Show in October Matra celebrated double victory at Tour de France.
The MS 660 seen in Le Mans last year took part in three important races this year: 1,000 km of Buenos Aires in January, 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, 1,000 km of Paris in October, but they did not finish any. The season was saved by two MS 650 driven by Beltoise / Depailler / Todt and Pescarolo / Jabouille / Rives who arrived 1st and 2nd at Tour de France.
