Founded in 1955 as Industrias Kaiser Argentina (IKA) was the first independent automobile factory in the country. After participation of Renault the company was renamed IKA Renault, and in 1977 become Renault Argentina. Along with license production of R4, R6 and R 12 the factory offers own model Torino. it has 6-cylinder 3.8-litre engines from Kaiser Tornado. The body is a Rambler revised by Pininfarina available as four-door sedan and two-door Hardtop Coupé. From 1977, the top model became the Torino Grand Routier, a touring sedan.
