Argentina

Argentine's leading automobile factory is the Industrias Kaiser Argentina S.A., which, like Willys Overland in neighboring Brazil, builds the Renault Dauphine and various Jeeps, as well as a big car the Rambler with Jeep engine. The first independent model is the Torino, which came out in late 1966. It is based on the Rambier American with body revised by Pininfarina and equipped with the factory six-cylinder OHC engine. IKA is in financial difficulties.
