Brazil
Ford do Brasil has bought Willys do Brasil after the latter had long lost its former top position on the Brazilian market to VW. As a replacement for the Renault Dauphine a completely new car was developed. The Ford Corcel launched in late 1968 is probably the most important competitor for the new VW 1600.

Few modifications to the Aero - loses Willys emblem wheel.
