The oldest Ford subsidary in South America was founded in 1913 in Argentina.
The old Ford Taunus is being built here with 2.0 and 2.3 litre engines under license as two- and four-door sedans and as a coupe. The engines are from the Pinto.
The second model, the Ford Falcon, is a licensed product of the USA Falcon, but with different engines and some detail changes. Offered as saloon and estate with four and five doors. Engines: 3.1 and 3.6 liter six-cylinder with 116, 132 and 166 hp. Transmission: three- or four-speed.
The flagship is the Fairlane, derived from the USA Fairlane. There is a choice of 3.6 liters
Six-cylinder in-line engine with 132 hp and a 4.8-liter V8 with 180 hp. Only with three-speed gearbox and steering wheel circuit.
