Italy

Undoubtedly, Ferrari is the number one among Italy's sonorous names. Its builder, the Commendatore Enzo Ferrari, today enjoys a similarly legendary fame in the world of automobiles as Ettore Bugatti did in the twenties and thirties. Of today's production models, only the Berlinetta 275 GTB 4 is intended primarily as a competition vehicle, all others are no longer eligible for this. The three 330 GTS Spyder, 330 GTC Coupe and 330 GT 2 + 2 now has the same four-liter V 12 engine. Ferraris intended for normal road use are no longer, unruly racing machines, but carefully equipped touring cars, comfortable, prestigious and elegant.
The Dino 2 liters and the Ferrari 365 P 4.4 liters, both with rear engine in front of the rear axle remained until now prototypes.

At the 1967 Brussels Salon, Pininfarina presented a special-bodied example of the 330 GTC Speciale, on chassis 09439 (job number 99670), destined for The Princess Liliane De Rethy, of which just four examples were eventually built. The Princess Liliane was no stranger to personalised Ferraris, as the special-bodied 330 GTC was her third, and her husband, King Leopold III of Belgium, was also a good Ferrari client. He owned two bespoke models – both cabriolets: a 342 America (chassis 0234AL) and a 375 MM (chassis 0488AM), equipped with a Plus series engine. The second example was built on chassis 09653 with Pininfarina job number 99676, and exhibited in March 1967 at the Geneva Salon, destined for Dr Michael de Bakey of Houston, Texas. Number three was chassis 10107, with Pininfarina job number 99686, for Maria Maddalena Da Lisca of Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy. The final car in the series was chassis 10241, built on Pininfarina job number 99687, for Dr Franco Palma of Rome, Italy. The first two were finished in azzuro 19278M Italver with pelle nera Franzi interiors. The last two were painted in argento 25090A Italver, with chassis 10107 having a pelle nera Franzi interior, and chassis 10241 having a pelle blu Franzi interior.
There were other 330 GTC models constructed with individual special details. Amongst these was the prototype (chassis 06431), which has erroneously been reported as having been built on a 275 GTS frame (the build sheet indicates a type 592 chassis): it had a special instrument panel, door trim panels and rear luggage shelf. Chassis 08727 had pop-up driving lights in the nose panel, unique exterior trim and a special interior fitted for Battista Pininfarina. The greatest deviation from standard (apart from the four ‘Speciale’ models) was chassis 09571, which had pop-up driving lights in the upper nose panel, covered headlights, a full rear bumper assembly, special door handles and a one-off instrument panel with no speedometer.
The 365 GT 2+2 Coupé was presented at the 1967 Paris Salon to replace the 330 GT 2+2. Although the 365 GT 2+2 share the same wheel base as the 330 GT 2+2, it is wider, whith extended the overall length by more than 130 mm. Initially it is fitted with similar design 10-hole alloy wheels. Borrani wire wheels remains available as an option.

  Spyder
  Berlinetta

With styling very similar to that of the 330 P3, this model is powered by a V12 engine that has been radically redesigned by Franco Rocchi. The most obvious modification is the introduction of a three-valve cylinder head – two inlet and one exhaust. Fuel feed is provided by a Lucas injection system. The chassis is slightly shorter than the 330 P3’s, and the new suspension system improves roadholding.

The winner of 24h Daytona.

412 P (V12 cyl, 3967 cm³, 420 cv; wb: 2400 mm) - new model

The 412 P is also known as the P3/4, and is used by Ferrari’s privateer teams: NART, Scuderia Filippinetti, Ecurie Francorchamps and Maranello Concessionaires. The cars are basically P3 prototypes from the 1966 season but with the P4’s bodywork, suspension and alloy wheels. The two-valve per cylinder 4-litre V12 engine is also carried over from the previous year, but with Weber carburettors in place of the injection system.

When sports car races were organised on the Canadian and American tracks in 1966, Chinetti asked Ferrari to come up with a suitable car. A P3/4 series chassis mounted with a slightly larger engine than the original four-litre was selected for the role, and the car hit the tracks during the 1967 season.
