Airstream jest następcą modelu Airflow, który nie spotkał się z życzliwym przyjęciem klientów. Nadwozie o znacznie bardziej konserwatywnej stylizacji budowane jest w trzech wersjach: Custom, Custom 7-osobowy i DeLuxe z jednoczęściową szybą przednią.

S1 Custom Airstream Six Sedan. Also available as a DeLuxe Airstream had single-piece windshield. Technically the DeSoto, Dodge and Plymouth (all Chrysler products) had much in common.
Airflow Sedan is available in two- or four-door form, termed Coupé. 5000 of S-2 cars were built in this, the last year of the DeSoto Airflows. Total Airflow output from 1934 was 25.737.
