The 11 Familiale is available since autumn 1953, the commerciale joined in the spring this year. Both are revivals of the pre-war models. The very large interior of the Familiale provides enough space for additional row of seats facing forward. The Commerciale offers a generous loading space, obstructed by unfortunately located spare wheel. This is conveniently avoided in advertising catalogue.

With its 4.96 meters overall, the 15 CV familiale is the longest of all Citroën. The large interior dimensions (2.30 meters between the dashboard and the backrest) allow to place three folding seats between the front and the back seat on an absolutely flat floor. It shares all the exterior and interior equipment of the Six-D saloon, with the exception of the three-spoke steering wheel. Despite the contribution of the familiale, the production of six-cylinder Citroën gone down again in 1954: from 2 199 copies in the previous year, it falls to 846 saloons and 447 familiale (189 manufactured during the last quarter of 1953).
On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Traction Avant, in May 1954, the company launched the 15 Six H (Hydropneumatic). It has a self-leveling rear suspension. The system is powered by a high pressure assembly comprising a pump, a circuit-breaker and a pressure accumulator. At the rear there are a regulator, two suspension elements composed of a cylinder and a sphere and two arms connected by a bar. The system can automatically maintain the riding height, regardless of load and driving conditions. The height can be set to low, medium or high using a lever located in the boot. This allows to change one of the wheels by supporting one side of the car using a stand, which is provided in the tool kit and simply lowering the suspension.
This year 1679 copies of this model were delivered to selected customers, exclusively in saloon version.
Two rear lights in the autumn. The '15 Six' badge is now placed in the middle of the boot lid.
