At the 1936 Motor Show Citroen presented its first light vehicle powered by a small diesel engine. This 4 cylinder of 1,766 cc is intended for vans.
The biggest novelty on 1936 models is the boot accessible from the outside, introduced in October last year. the 7 and the 11 Legere are exactly the same - theonly difference being the size of the engine. Three bodies: sedan, coupé and convertible are listed in the catalogue for those two models.

The Citroën Rosalie records began with a C6 F in 1931. It was initiative of the Yacco company, who needed an advertising for their new lubricating oils. From 1933 to 1935 various Rosalies - based on 8 and 15 CV - achieved spectacular performances at Monthléry, fully exploited by both: Citroën and Yacco. After the death of André Citroën, Yacco continues its attempts alone but the heart is no longer there. The last Rosalie, the IX, achieved its performance in 1936 by covering 100,000 km at the rate of 1,500 km per day. As with all previous Rosalies, César Marchand led the team of drivers and mechanics.
