"Tylko Chevrolet daje tak dużo za tak niewiele"

Chevrolet 1939 came in two series, the Master DeLuxe Series JA and the Master 85 Series JB, both with 85-bhp 3.5-litre engine. The Master DeLuxe was the first Chevrolet with 'Knee Action' ifs with open (exposed) coil springs and was very popular. Vacuum assisted steering column gear shift was optional at $20 extra. The Master 85 had a rigid front axle. Station Wagon with Midstates Body Corp. bodywork, available on JA and JB chassis ($883 and $848 respectively).

Podstawowa różnica między dwoma oferowanymi w tym sezonie modelami to tak jak w latach poprzednich przednie zawieszenie. Master 85 ma klasyczną, sztywną oś z resorami półeliptycznymi, natomiast Master De Luxe, niezależne zawieszenie typu Knee-Action, oraz amortyzatory dwustronnego działania, zapewniające nieporównywalnie wyższy komfort jazdy. W modelach Sport Sedan, Town Sedan i Coupé koło zapasowe znajduje się wewnątrz przedziału bagażowego, który dostępny z zewnątrz. W pozostałych bagaże pakuje się po odchyleniu oparcia tylnej kanapy a koło zapasowe ukryte jest pod zamykaną na klucz pokrywą na tylnej ścianie nadwozia.
