Był to ostatni rok produkcji przedwojennej. Od 1933 roku powstało Łącznie 2500 samochodów serii 3 ½ i 4 ¼ Litre. W czerwcu powstał prototyp Corniche z nadwoziem Vanvoorena. Na salonie w Paryżu, w październiku zaprezentowano model Mk V z niezależnym zawieszeniem przednich kół. Budowany do roku 1941; powstao 17 egzemplarzy.
Bentley 4 ¼ Litre chassis is priced at £ 1150 and have a wheelbase of 10 ft 6 in. Engine have 88.9 mm bore x 114.3 mm stroke, giving a swept volume of 4257 cc. Treasury rating is 29.4 HP, actual bhp figure is not disclosed. The 4 ¼ Litre engine was first offered in 1937, alongside the 3 ½ Litre. From 1938 only the 4 ¼ Litre is available.
Mark V with independent front suspension was introduced in October at the Paris Motor Show.
