ASTON MARTIN DBS V8 7,639 (incl. P.T.)
It really is one of the most glamorous cars in the business, with a fuel-injected 5.3 litre four overhead camshaft light alloy engine. Power output is around 400 b.h.p. though Aston Martin do not give an exact figure, and top speed is around 160 m.p.h.–pretty quick for a four-seater! Everything about the car is thoroughbred, down to the wheels which are accurately designed to control airflow over the brakes. The interior is sumptuous too with everything there for enthusiastic motoring.

ASTON MARTIN V8 £8,457
Sold to a new syndicate of Midlands businessmen, Aston Martin continues in production with the V8 and the six-cylinder Vantage. Reverting to the traditional grille, the re-styled V8 has two big headlamps giving more light than the previous four. Luggage space is increased by re-locating the spare wheel. Air conditioning and stereo radio with cartridge tape player are standard.
