Alvis Fourteen, Model TA14, is available in chassis and complete four-door Saloon form, the latter at £1276. It was ntroduced in 1946. Powered by a four-cylinder 1.9-litre (1892-cc, 74 x 110 mm) 65-bhp engine with one SU carburettor, the car is of conventional but sturdy and elegant design. It have a four-speed gearbox and rigid axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs. An unusual feature is the possibility of adjusting the tubular-type bumper mounting brackets, maximum gap between bumper and body providing increased protection.
