Cars of England and competition-tested Ford V8 engine from the USA, the AC Convertible offers the best of old and new worlds. High performance with minimum maintenance. Suspension joints are sealed and need no greasing. Folding top retracts under metal cover. Tubular chassis with all-independent suspension like that of the famous Cobra. A.C. 289 HOME market equivalent of the race-winning Cobra, with Ford V8 engine of 4.7-litres in British tubular chassis with all-independent anti-dive coil spring suspension. Camber, castor and toe-in of rear wheels are controllable by adjustment and steering swivels require no lubrication. Self-adjusting disc brakes have twin master cylinders. All-synchromesh gearbox, limited slip differential, rack and pinion steering are standard equipment.
