Wanderer's cars developed by Porsche are very expensive and sales are weak.
J.S. Rasmussen, with the help of the Saxon State Bank, had established a successfull DKW company. It then formed together with Horch, Wanderer and Audi Auto Union AG. In a 10-year lease agreement, all of the buildings and machinery were made available to Wanderer Automobilfabrik and then transferred to the Group's property for free. In the extensive program of Auto Union AG. the Wanderer remained the brand for middle class customers. The eight-cylinder developed by Porsche however disappeared in favour of Horch.
