Although there is no intention to abandon the expensive eight-cylinder program despite the difficult sales situation, they recognized the need to launch a small, timely model as quickly as possible. At the end of 1930, Stoewer introduced the Type V 5, the first German production car with front-wheel drive and swing axles.
