After trying two prototypes: the 4CV and 11CV secretly prepared in Billancourt during the war, Pierre Lefaucheux decided to give a green light to the economic 4 CV that appeared for the first time in public on 3rd of October - the day of opening the 33rd International Motor Show in Paris. The press release took place on 23rd of September. While preparing the mass production of this new rear engined car, Juvaquatre was put into production for export at the beginning of 1946; it also is a top Paris Salon of the postwar period.
