RELIANT SCIMITAR £4,907
After a slow-build-up, production of the enlarged re-styled Scimitar shown last year now demands a night shift. A pioneer of the "sports estate" type, this hatchback 2+2 is longer and wider than before. The heating and ventilation system is improved, the ride is more comfortable and the engine has revised cooling and exhaust systems. Power steering, overdrive or automatic transmission are options. Ogle designed the body.

RELIANT KITTEN £1,671
A Kitten that should set economy-minded owners purring about its low fuel consumption. Powered by Reliant's own light alloy four-cylinder engine, it has a glass fibre body on a steel chassis. Body design was by the Ogle organisation. The frameless lift-up rear window makes it a handy shopping car and the rear seat can be folded. There are two models, saloon and station wagon.
