The American Motors Corporation is in a difficult financial situation. The group was created in 1954 by the merger of the Nash and Hudson. They flourished quite well for a long time, but in recent years has suffered declining sales. Rambler cars are well known for good quality but the small company struggles with the competition of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. The AMC is currently undergoing deep restructuring.
