Purvis 1976

Australia

The Eureka PL30 incorporated a number of significant Purvis improvements over the Sports/Nova model and was introduced at the 1976 Sydney International Motor Show. The most significant change in the PL30 is the roof line. The slope of the windscreen is reduced by around 14 degrees, the windscreen shortened by about 2 inches and the roof shape changes accordingly. This increases head room by 2.5 inches, and improves interior comfort. The PL30 is now available with an “electro-hydraulic” automatic opening canopy “at the flick of a switch”. Other features of the PL30 includes a new bonnet without the air intakes, and a new rear under-sill with larger tail lights and a narrow bumper bar. The dashboard is rearranged with more gauges. The centre console is also remodeled. Carpets are fitted to the sides as well as the floor to reduce noise level. The seats are cloth upholstered, and a new deep-dish, padded sports steering wheel is fitted.
