PORSCHE 914 SC £3,596
The four-cylinder 1.7-litre VW Porsche became Germany's best selling sports car but needed more power. The six-cylinder 2-litre with Porsche engine cost 50 per cent more. Now a 2-litre four-cylinder provides nearly the same performance at lower cost. Brakes, gear change sound insulation are improved. The foot-board is angled for greater passenger comfort. Quartz iodine headlamps and alloy wheels are added.
PORSCHE 911S £5,674
Fire resistant interior trim and matt black finish for horn grilles and indicator lamp frames are new items on the top-performance 2.4-litre fuel-injection Porsche for 1973. Rear suspension arms are redesigned to permit replacement without disturbing the engine, steering layout is modified to reduce kick-back and improve stability. A front spoiler extends below the bumper.
