Packard Custom Eight also known as 'Big Eight'. Engine has 3½ x 5 in. bore and stroke and develops 106 bhp. Wheelbase 140½ in. Companion model is DeLuxe Eight (wb 145½ in.); both were in production for one year from August 1929.
Packard Standard Eight. Ten body styles available on this 134½-in. wb chassis, which was in production from 20 August 1929 until 14 August 1930. Prices varied from $2425 for 401 Phaeton and 402 Roadster to to $2775 for 405 Limousine. A companion model on 127½-in. wb chassis was the Model 726 which, however, was only available with one body style (403 Sedan, $2375). Prices shown are those at time of introduction.
