Prototypes

Packard Balboa

'Based on the lines of the “Caribbean” sports-type convertible, Packard's new “Balboa” introduces a “first” in hardtop styling with its nearly vertical rear window. The overhanging top eliminates glare, keeps snow and rain from blocking vision, and the overall design is said to increase rear-passenger headroom. Because the window has no curved surfaces there is no distortion through the glass; production models will be designed with a rill-down rear window.'
