Oba modele Oldsmobile: Golden Rocket and Super mają takie same nadwozia o rozstawie osi 3099 mm w wersjach: 2 i 4 drzwiowy sedan, 2 i 4 drzwiowy hardtop i kabriolet. Oba są też napędzane tym samym silnikiem V8 o pojemności 5314 cm³ o mocy 243 KM. Fiesta to pierwsze od 1950 roku kombi tej marki. Firma obchodziła sześćdziesięciolecie swojego istnienia.
"Oto prawdziwa Złota Rakieta" - reklama nawiązuje do nazwy ubiegłorocznego "samochodu snów" - Golden Rocket.

Oldsmobile offers its first since 1950 estate car called Fiesta. All models are powered by the same Rocket T-400 engine delivering 277 h.p. The value range this year is called “Golden Rocket” after last year famous dream car.
