MORRIS OXFORD From £916 (incl. P.T.)
An old name and an old favourite, the Morris Oxford Series VI is still in production nine years after its introduction in October 1961. It is a solid family saloon of straight-forward design with a 1622 c.c. overhead valve engine driving the rear wheels. Front suspension is independent by coil springs and wishbones, and the non-independent live rear axle is carried on semi-elliptic springs. The four-door body is roomy and the boot can cope with plenty of family luggage. The 'Oxford' is a big car for 1.6 litres by today's standards but it can exceed 80 m.p.h
