In October 1969 separate Austin and Morris Mini badging was merged into the new, single brand. The range reduced to: 850, 1000, Clubman, Cooper S and 1275 GT 2-door saloon and Clubman 3-door estate. Optional automatic transmission available on all except 1275 GT.
Mini MkIII gets concealed door hinges, and wind up windows. Hydrolastic suspension has been dropped. Clubman version added, incorporating Maxi-like front-end styling and modernised interior. Estate version has imitation wood side flashes.
