Marcos 1800 L – FROM the splinter group in Bradford-on-Avon, a wooden chassis and plastic body make the light, lithe Marcos unique. The Volvo engine is modified with twin Stromberg carburetters. Choose between 1800 L with live rear axle and 1800 IRS with independent rear suspension. Body lines were recently improved and refined with rear spoiler, bonnet vents, ventilated rear window. The mini-Marcos was launched at the January 1966 Racing Car Show as a kit car using Mini front and rear subframes, complete with engine and running gear. Stubby little Coupé body has two doors and no rear access. MkII gets aluminium window frames with quarter lights and opening windows.

The Mini-Marcos G.T. is ideal for high speed touring and pottering around town-having ample accommodation for two in complete comfort. occasional space for children and a sensible large luggage platform. With its "windtunnel approved " aerodynamic styling and low overall weight, it offers fantastic performance, coupled with extraordinarily low running costs. The factory-built Mini-Marcos G.T.850 is available in standard or de-luxe forms -the basic specifications are identical, with either right-hand or left-hand drive. We are also continuing the " Marcos Policy " of offering our products in COMPONENT FORM for the enthusiastic home constructor.
(1) STANDARD MINI-Marcos G.T.850
This model features the fully built up body chassis unit. cellulosed in one of 7 attractive colours, fitted with head lining, bucket seats and rubber floor mats. The fitting of mechanical components only is required.
(2) DE-LUXE MINI-Marcos G.T.850
This model features a very high standard of finish both externally and internally. Fully built up body chassis unit, cellulosed in one of 7 colours, fitted with thick felt underlay, high quality carpets, washable head lining, bucket seats and leather cloth covered door trims with map pockets incorporated and the engine is supplied with twin carburetters to give a really sparkling performance. The ultimate small grand touring vehicle.
