Roadster wzbogacił ofertę XK 150 wiosną. Początkowo dostępny był wyłącznie na eksport ze standardowym silnikiem o mocy 190 KM, opcjonalnym "blue top" - 210 KM lub "gold top" - 252 KM. Najsilniejsza wersja nosi oznaczenie XK 150S.

XK 150 Roadster was introduced in the spring of 1958. This open
two-seater was available-initially for export only-with a choice
of three 3 ½ -litre engines : twin-carburettor 'standard',
190-bhp; twin-carburettor 'blue top', 210-bhp; and
triple-carburettor 'gold-top', 252-bhp. When fitted with the 'gold
top' engine it is called the XK150 Roadster Type S and feature
other differences including a stronger clutch and special
quick-changing pads for the servo-assisted disc brakes. The XK150
Roadster became available on the home market in the autumn of
1958.
