Niezwykła Monterosa nie znalazła uznania u klientów. Decyzją włoskiego rządu firma została włączona w skład kombinatu zbrojeniowego Breda, który nie był zainteresowany kontynuowaniem deficytowego projektu.


Six Monterosas were build, but only four received bodies. The others being the original test chassis and a chassis for display at the 1949 Geneva Show. The four which were also show cars and not sold to the public, had saloon bodies by Touring (1), Zagato (2) and a convertible by Boneschi. Monterosa production never started because Isotta-Fraschini, starved of funds by an unsympathetic government, was liquidated in September 1949.
