Humber Hawk Saloon, Series I version, was introduced in the spring of 1957. It feature a completely new low and flush-sided body with a wide radiator grille, cowled headlamps, a large boot and a wrap-round windscreen and rear window. The four-cylinder 2267-cc engine develop 73 bhp (net) at 4400 rpm giving 81 mph top speed, gearbox is four speed with column change, and optional overdrive and auto. Coil sprung ifs, cart sprung rear, re circulating ball steering. Four door saloon, estate car and touring. A Touring Limousine is also available. Initially the Hawk Series I models were called 'New Hawk', although this name never appeared on the cars.
