At the Berlin Motor Show in March 1934, Borgward released the completely new Hansa 1100 and 1700. The factory has now its own body production facility to manufacture their all-steel bodies. Deliveries of the Hansa 1100 began in July 1934, soon followed by the Hansa 1700. Both cars are relatively expensive, but still found good sales and proved to be very solid and reliable. Hansa sales increased from just 43 units last year to 848.
