About 100 G2s were built between 1958 and 1960. There followed the glassfibre bodied G3, which could take the new Ford 105E engine as well as the earlier side-valve units; about 60 were sold.
Just as the G2 had been a remarkably well-conceived kit so the G3 has a well-conceived body. The chassis is very similar to that of the G2 but the body comes complete. Items such as wheel arches and the boot are built in, the doors fitted, there is a proper scuttle and the standard of finish is high. The body is also sold separately.
