While the LTD II is elegant, it's still a good performer. You'll find LTD II's spirit and nimble handling reminiscent of the sporty Mustang II.

LTD II doesn't replace our full-size car. We still offer the Ford LTD, the full-size car that kept its size. but if you prefer a 6-passenger car that's trimmer in size and price than LTD, Ford gives you that choice with LTD II.
LTD II has the widest choice of models of any Ford line. A 2-door hardtop and 4-door pillared hardtop are available in three series. And there are three station wagon models.

Ford hasn't forgotten the big-car family.
For 1977, some car makers will offer you only shorter, narrower, lighter "Full-Size" cars. Ford has a better idea. Ford feels people who want the traditional full-size car they're used to should have that choice So Ford hasn't reduced the 1977 Ford LTD by a single inch.
You'll find Ford LTD's long 121" wheelbase is now about the same size as the down sized Cadillac. And longer than Olds 98 and Buick Electra.
And Ford LTD has a longer wheelbase than the new Chevrolets (both Impala and Caprice) which have now come down to the some wheelbase (116") as the mid-size Chevelle. LTD also has a wider tread, and more road-hugging weight.
 
Ride, room and trunkspace—unchanged.
Ford LTD has retained its traditional smooth, quiet ride for 1977. Interior spaciousness, deep well trunk, long wheelbase and 3½ ton rated towing capacity (with optional heavy-duty trailer towing package) are all unchanged. And you'll appreciate its generous hip and shoulder room (greater than its major competitor).
 
Shop where you get a choice.

FORD MUSTANG II £5,270
Though roughly the size of a Capri, the second-generation Mustang suffers from the loss of power caused by American anti-pollution equipment, so has ended up with a V8 engine to compensate and with it comes a three-speed automatic transmission. The right-hand drive models exported to Europe include a Ghia version with the refinements of trim and equipment which this implies. There are coupes and convertibles.
