The 330 GTC was unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Salon. The engine is an enlarged version of that fitted to the 275 GTB, and virtually identical in specification to that used in the late series 330 GT 2+2 models: a single overhead camshaft per bank V12 and wet sump unit.
The 330 GTS was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1966. It has the same V12 running gear as the 330 GTC coupé which, in turn, was developed from the engine designed for the 400 Superamerica.
Presented at the 1966 Paris Motor Show, 275 GTB/4 is the first ‘production’ Ferrari to be fitted with the four overhead camshaft version of the V12, which is derived directly from the P2 prototype.

275 GTB coupe based on Ferrari's matchless experience in winning 18 World Championship titles and 4,000 motor races. Chassis with all-independent suspension, powered by a magnificent V.12 overhead camshaft engine (choice of six single carburetters or three with twin chokes), Scaglietti did the Berlinetta body, Pininfarina the Spider. The fivespeed gearbox is at the rear in unit with the limited-slip differential.
330 GT with five-speed gearbox, the crisp response of that 4-litre V-12 engine and the impeccable lines of the Pininfarina body work. GT coupe has two occasional seats in rear; short-chassis GTC is strictly for two.

An evolution of the 330 P2, the P3 features a new tubular chassis where the engine and gearbox are an integral part of the structure, enhancing its rigidity. Compared to the unit used on the P2, the V12 engine is almost 30 kg lighter and has a new Lucas fuel injection system.
Ferrari 330 P3 #14 (#0844P) driven by Mike Parkes and John Surtees won the 1000km Monza. They did 100 laps in 6:05:11.6 with average speed 165.939 km/h.
