Building about 25 exclusive hand-made cars a month at his Modena plant, De Tomaso finds the biggest demand is for this luxurious 2+2 Coupé with body designed by Ghia. It has a modified Ford V8 engine, Ford automatic transmission, independent suspension all round, air conditioning and power steering with adjustable column. Basically the same mechanical elements are used in the Deauville saloon.

Produced by the shrewd entrepreneur who also controls Maserati, Innocenti and a large part of Italy's motor cycle industry, the Deauville is a luxurious hand-made high performance saloon with Ford V8 engine and automatic transmission. Suspension is independent all round by double wishbones and coil springs; brakes are ventilated Girling discs, steering is power-assisted rack and pinion. Hard drivers can have an oil cooler.
