January: the entire 'Rosalie' range got "Nouvel Habillage" (New Dressing), made of new wings, inclined grille, shell headlights and curved bumpers.
March 23rd: The first, unofficial presentation of the all-new 7 "traction avant".
April 18th: Launch of the 7 Traction Avant at the Place de l'Europe. Production began the next day. By end of April production goes from 100 to 200 per day. First delivery on May 3rd.
May: The 8, 10 and 15 CV gained an independent front suspension with torsion bars but this "series B" was only produced for four months; 8.500 cars of this type were made.
September: 8, 10 and 15 CV discontinued.
October: 11 CV and 22 CV with the V-8 engine launched at the Paris Show.
December 21: the Commercial Court of Paris announced the liquidation of the Citroën company, which passed under control of the Michelin, its main creditors. They immediately made two important decisions: to continue manufacture of the Traction, and to put the old rear-wheel drive series back into production.
7 B powstawał do października a 7 S do września.
Przygotowano wszelkie materiały reklamowe i promocyjne.
Dotychczasowe modele 8, 10 i 15 Rosalie zostały restylizowane w styczniu, otrzymując pochylone atrapy i wygięte zderzaki.

With the appearance of the "Nouvel Habillage" in January the range was revised. Number of versions reduced from 68 to 64 by removing four 15 CV: coupé conduite intérieure and berline Grand Luxe, conduite intérieure and familiale Luxe (only Grand Luxe remains). All models were discontinued in September, except utility commerciale which adopted the new over-head valve engines from the 7 and 11, and become 7 UA ( 1,628 cc, 9 CV tax) and 11 UA (1911 cc, 11 CV tax) models.

None of the techniques used on the Traction is really new, but it is their combination in a single, mass production car that makes the car revolutionary ... First of all, the all steel, fully welded, self-supporting body: the idea was first pioneered by the Lancia Lambda launched in 1922, also studied by the American Budd company, from which Citroën had acquired the license. Second: the adaptation of front-wheel drive, then, the low, sweeping shapes outlined by Bertoni, low centre of gravity, thanks to elimination of the transmission tunnel. Next, the independent front suspension on torsion bars, giving marvellous road handling. The hydraulic brakes, the over-head valve engine with water pump cooling circuit, replaceable, wet cylinder liners, the semi-independent rear suspension...
Unfortunately, the first cars suffers teething problems. The revolutionary automatic transmission proved to be incapable of operating elsewhere than on flat ground. It had to be abandoned and replaced with a traditional box, prepared in only 15 days! A record ... but also a source of innumerable troubles on the first models ... Among many others, the difficulties with transmission joints and hydraulic brakes fitted for the first time in mass production.

A spectacular demonstration in a quarry in the north of Paris in May. A “7” was launched into the air at a speed of 30 km / h from the top of a seven-meter cliff. The car dropped, bounced, fell on the roof and ended up on its wheels with only minor damage. The engine still ran and the doors open or close normally and the car just drove-off. The same experiment with three cars from the competition ended miserably.

The 11 CV Légère replaced the 7 Sport on the production line in November. Externally it is identical to the 7 but its engine has the same stroke and larger bore. Conduite intérieure, familiale and taxi models have 6 windows. Coupé de ville is a berline with separation. The Normale and Longue are not only longer but also 12 cm wider.

The 22 CV appeared at the Paris Motor Show in October in cabriolet, berline and familiale versions. Due to insufficient space the coupé called 'faux-cabriolet' was displayed at Citroen facilities at place de l'Europe. The impressive V-8 engine was presented on a special base and can be seen under the bonnet of the convertible.
Prepared in such a hurry, this range is not ready for production yet.

François Lecot
and Maurice Penaud departed from Paris on Wednesday June 27 on board of one the first examples of the new 7, to complete the tour of France and Belgium, i.e. 5,007 kilometres at an average speed of 65 km / h, and joined the following Saturday Place de l'Opéra where André Citroën (whom we see here surrounded by the two brave pilots) came in person to welcome them and congratulate them.
The Rosalie VI piloted by the team of César Marchand soared on the Montlhéry circut on April 7, 1934, and finished two days later after having broken several international records, in particular that of the 3,000 kilometres at nearly 160 km / h on average. The car, nicknamed "Special Yacco", was a 15 CV 6-cylinder with a special, single-seater body.
From July 17 to 23, a 7 faux-cabriolet nicknamed Rosalie V managed to break five international records of its category. The lightened car was driven by César Marchand and his team; as before, Yacco helped to organize this run.
