Australian branch of the Chrysler Corporation has its own model range. Basic model it the Valiant available as a sedan and station wagon. The Coupe series is called Charger, a little smaller and with a shorter wheelbase. Top-class models Regal comes with the technology as Valiant.
All three model series were revised in late 1976 with a facelift and improved out right up to radial tires and individual seats. Part rear window heating, halogen headlamp and internally adjustable exterior mirrors are standard. The Hemi engines comply with Australian emission regulations. Standard engine is the 4.0-litre six-cylinder with low compression for normal fuel. The choice is still a 4.4-litre and a 5.2-litre V8.
