Australia

Like General Motors and Ford, Chrysler also has extensive production and assembly operations in Australia. The program includes the Hillman Imp and the Hillman Hunter, the latter also in an uprated and richly equipped version GT, which corresponds approximately to the English Humber Sceptre. The main emphasis of the Australian Chrysler production, however is on the model Valiant, divided into several series. Recent achievements includes the sporty Valiant Pacer and the VIP, which has a longer wheelbase and more luxurious features than the normal Valiant. The highlight of the program is the Dodge Phoenix.
