BUICK CENTURY £3,808
Replacing the Skylark, the Century is the new middle-range Buick. The standard engine is a 5.7-litre V8, but coupe models can have a 7.4-litre engine with a four-speed manual gearbox, tachometer, and steel-braced radial ply tyres. Bumpers are now on shock-absorbing mountings to prevent permanent damage in minor impacts. The Century Estate has a lift-up tailgate, unusual on American models.
