2400 - November

Germany

Zakończono produkcję modeli z silnikiem 1,5 litra. Powstalo 23.140 sztuk.
Only one completely new model was put into production in Germany during 1952, this being the Borward-Hansa six-cylinder which does not in its technical features differ greatly from the now well-established four-cylinder models, and in common with them the overhead valves are pushrod operated and the downdraught carburettor is attached to a pipe which runs through the valve cover. The backbone type frame is used with independent rear suspension on the swing axle system, coil springs being used at both front and rear of the car. A point which should be recorded is that Borgward is the first European constructor to standardize a gearbox having automatic changes of ratio, and a considerable fraction of the cars sold by the factory are now fitted with this device.
